Hey guys, my name is Mike and I'm a 33 year old guitarist and drummer, though I am mainly focused on guitar right now. I just moved to the area recently from the northeast, and am looking to put together a band to play my own originals. If you're capable of writing your own riffs, or would like to give your own input into the song writing process, it's more than welcomed! My style and sound ranges from nice shimmering clean tones all the way to full blown distortion, and has a lot of influence from funk, grunge and hiphop to put it in a nutshell. So who exactly am I looking for? Serious musicians no older than 40 who take their craft seriously, practice theory, can play in key, and have professional equipment. Have an open mind and good ear for melodies, cause that's what it's all about! I'll list some influences of mine : Thursday, The Mars Volta, At the drive in, circa survive, seether, intervals, animals as leaders, polythia,311,incubus, the number 12 looks like you, between the buried and me, the used, Fleetwood mack, the Beatles,tons of classic hip hop, just to name a few! My goal is to play live shows in the area and blow people's minds with a unique and original sound, and super tight live performances, but the most important thing is to have fun and enjoy the music we are playing.
