Cover band doing heavy versions of 80’s classics? Anyone?

Older rhythm guitar player looking to put together a cover band. Would like to do hard rock / heavy / metal versions of 80’s music. Any song from Top 40 to hair metal to whatever. Heavy versions of things like “Sister Christian” from Night Ranger or “I Ran” by Flock of Seagulls or “Fight for your Right” by Beastie Boys and so on and so on. You get the idea. Ideally, get together and practice a couple times a month. Get a gig every month or two. Just looking to have some fun, and put my gear to good use!
