Description
I don't like reading alone. Or at least I am beginning to dislike it more and more.
Recently I've been getting into Gabor Mate and his books on addiction and how it is a symptom of dealing with deep emotional and physical pain. I think his talks on Youtube are fantastic and expands the spectrum of thought on what it means to be struggling with addiction. I have a couple of his books now, one of which is Scattered Minds: The Origins and Healing of Attention Deficit Disorder. And, either ironically or not ironically enough, I am having trouble reading it on my own.
I get the feeling that it would be more meaningful for myself, and hopefully others, if a small reading group could be put together taking turns reading passages and, if open to it, reflecting on our own lives together.
Not sure how many people would be into this kind of thing, but hey! Putting out there and seeing what will happen lol.
I'm open to meeting in person, provided we meet in accordance to Covid-19 guidelines. But meeting online in Zoom, Discord, or something of the like can work too.
If you made it this far in the page, thank you for reading ^_^
