Duality | A photomeet where we'll explore the quality or state of having two different or opposite parts or elements. (all levels welcome) Duality: the quality or state of having two different or opposite parts or elements Duality exists in different contexts for all of us. How does duality manifest for you? Unlike western values which demand either ‘this’ or ‘that’, African values place emphasis on the possibility of two different things coexisting harmoniously in one space--in one mind. Consider this a blank canvas. Be prepared to collaborate with other creatives around concepts, scene-setting, lighting, and working with your subject. *ALL LEVELS ARE WELCOME* The Challenge: Create an image or series of images that depict duality for you, your community or our society as a whole. Winning images will be featured in Afrotographers' Summer 2021 DUALITY Exhibition. To be considered for inclusion in our Duality Exhibition, submit images to [email protected]. A panel of industry professionals will review and select winning images. This gallery will feature images captured at this specific photomeet. Please do not submit images that were not captured at the June 5th Duality meet. Along with your image submission, please include the following information: 1. Your name and social handles 2. The name of your subject and social handles 3. The name of the creative director and social handles (if applicable) 4. A description of the concept. 100 word max.
