Job Description Position Description: The Landscape Crew Member is able to operate a variety of equipment and has a working knowledge of horticultural practices. The ideal candidate is an experienced landscape team member who can work with minimal supervision and is able to assist in directing the activities of a team of two or more laborers at a job site. Position Responsibilities: Operates a variety of landscaping equipment. Assists the team leader in interacting with clients by way of introductions at the beginning of a job, answering questions and responding to client requests. Assists the Foreman in planning and organizing the job, ensuring that sufficient resources and materials are available. Also ensures that job is completed in the most time-efficient manner. Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including work site and equipment. Briefs the Foreman and makes recommendations on job status, personnel issues, or client concerns. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a part-time position with opportunities for full-time. Work days are Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays. Skill set Requirements: 1+ years of experience in the landscaping field is preferred. The successful individual will have a working knowledge of standard horticultural practices, including but not limited to planting, pruning, and fertilization. Good communication skills. Florida Driver's License and insurable by the company's agent. Additional Requirements: May be exposed to any or all of the following job-related hazards Lifting or moving objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to pass a background check.
