Sam Shapiro lends grungy, punk inspired vocals, and distorted guitars to occupy the soundscape crafted by the bands skillful production in the studio. Carefully orchestrated synths and guitar tracks weave in and out over the heavy drum grooves provided by Hayden Bosch. The band’s foundation is in the melodic bass playing of Aidan Hutchings, who always seems to play exactly what you wanted to hear. Frontman, Sam Shapiro is a new addition to the Denver music scene, but after a year of fronting his first project, he found himself featured in multiple magazines, including 303 mag, and with a track record of captivating and explosive shows at some of Denver’s well known music venues like Herman’s Hideaway, and the Mercury Cafe. Now with a year of experience under his belt, the young east coast transplant aims to take Bleak Mystique far beyond the still respectable achievements his prior projects attained.
