Reserve your free, timed passes for the DC History Center, located on the second floor of the Carnegie Library building. We are excited to welcome back visitors to the DC History Center! The well-being of our visitors, volunteers, and staff is our top priority, and we have adjusted our visitor experience to meet strict health and safety guidelines. The DC History Center will require free, timed passes for entry to the Hall of History and THE BIG PICTURE in the Carnegie Library building. The Kiplinger Research Library and the DC History Center Store remain closed. Entry to the DC History Center is limited to 12 people per hour (50% capacity), Fridays from 2pm to 7pm, and Saturdays from 12 to 5 pm only. Please note, due to space considerations, entry to the Hall of History exhibit will be further limited to a max of 2 people at a time. • Click “Select A Date” to reserve your passes. • Please have your pass available (on your phone or printed) for entry. • We recommend allotting approximately 50 minutes for your visit. All visitors must wait for entry on the K Street side of the Carnegie Library building. A DC History Center staff member or volunteer will escort you inside through the basement. Health screening questions and temperature checks will take place upon entry. COVID-19 Considerations Please affirm the following before reserving a ticket and planning to visit: I understand that all guests must bring and wear a face covering/mask when in the Carnegie Library building/DC History Center.I (and my fellow guests) will maintain a safe distance from others not in my party, and will not touch exhibits, objects, etc.I understand that my experience at the DC History Center will be affected by current safety protocols, including the removal of touchable/interactive elements of exhibitions, a required one-way tour path, and reduced seating and restroom access. The physical DC History Store is not currently open.I will not come to the DC History Center if I (or my fellow guests) have knowingly been exposed to COVID-19 or are experiencing symptoms similar to those associated with COVID-19.I understand that I attend a public venue and place of gathering like the DC History Center at my own risk.Please contact [email protected] for additional questions or inquiries regarding visitor services. -- The DC History Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit educational organization that deepens understanding of our city’s past to connect, empower, and inspire.
