Global Running Day is a day for people around the world to celebrate the joys of running. Participation is easy—just pledge to take part in some type of running activity June 2, 2021. It can be a solo lap around the block, a long run with friends, (socially distanced) or even a game of tag with your kids. The key is to share your passion for the sport and inspire others to get moving too. The Cap10K is hosting a free social run from the Statesman parking lot. You're welcome to join us, we'd love to see you. 6:00 p.m. Meet 'n' Greet 6:30 p.m. Run Starts 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Local Social 8:30 p.m. Event Ends Location: Austin American-Statesman parking lot, 305 S. Congress Ave., Austin, TX 78704 Free to attend, free parking, free bottled water and sparkling water. The route is a downtown out and back 10K with the option to U-turn at any point to match your personal fitness level. Maps provided and digital tracking options available at event website.
