Description
Due to the pandemic disruptions to the aquarium industry it took awhile to find the loach species most suited to my set up so due to a growing pest snail problem that was starting to adversely affect my pet apple snails, I finally accepted whatever loach I could find. This guy passed through his two week quarantine with flying colors and during that time eliminated all the adult bladder and ramshorns I had getting my tanks back in balance for the smaller loaches which finally got back in stock. Always knew I had to rehome this guy though he’s absolutely adorable and beautiful. I can see why yo-yos have many fans with all the antics and clicks they do. He is currently about 4 inches in size with a lovely iridescence but will GROW. Additionally he’ll eventually need to land in a tank large enough to keep in a school of yo-yos as the species will otherwise become aggressive and prone to sulking all day under rocks instead of being the kind of fish known for skipping and playing all day and eating out of the owners hand. Yo-yos need other yo-yos. You absolutely must have an already cycled tank (and know what that term means) to take this fish as it will not survive otherwise and should have either a large tank or be prepared to take the responsibility to rehome if you are also dealing with a pest-snail problem during this loach-supply shortage, that said he is already 4 inches and active, and so I will ask you to state what size tank you have now even if you plan to pass him on after he takes care of your pest snails. Though I really do sympathize with having a tank overrun by snails, have him to think of too, and even growing fish need room to swim. There isn’t a rehoming fee but please do your research before contacting me, pickup will be outdoors only and must be contact free.
