General Maintenance Job Description The General Maintenance Associate is responsible for general maintenance and warehouse duties, repairs of the building. Ensures that the facility is maintained in a timely manner when needed, and cleanliness and safety standards are upheld. The position may also do light cleaning as requested by management. Uses hand tools to perform general building maintenance. Works with a variety of chemicals, to clean windows and change lamps. Basic Duties: Ability to use power tools to perform job tasks safely Maintain cleanliness and appearance of exterior on the facility empting trash cans and ashtrays, sweeping walkways. Maintain parking lot (clean) Basic plumbing Operate forklift Clean windows as needed General repair knowledge Replaces lighting ballasts Basic mechanical knowledge Timely and regular attendance General warehouse duties Training: Able to understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures. Able to use power tools. Can lift and/ or move up to 60 pounds.
