I am looking for a group of musicians who are interested in enriching, rehearsing and recording a group of songs (an album) that I just finished writing. It would be nice to play live, as well. I am seeking a bass player, a drummer, and potentially a second guitarist. Possibly piano and/or cello for some songs. I do vocals and guitar.
The mood of the album is soulful and reflective, generally slow and mid tempo with moments of built up intensity. About a third of the album’s lyrics are in Spanish, the rest are in English.
Some influences and references to give you an idea of mood and style: Nick Cave and the bad Seeds (mostly the later, mellower stuff, like the Nocturama record or the song Spell), David Bowie's (the album Hours), Robert Plant's Band of Joy, Patti Smith's Banga album, and Leonard Cohen.
Below is a link to couple couple of demo snippets. The first one shows a general idea of instrumentation for one of the songs. The drums have some misplaced kicks — I did this using Garageband… I need a real drummer! The other two are just voice and guitar (they are quick demos, pretty rough), but it gives you a bit of an idea as to songwriting.

Also, a bit about me: I am 44 and have live performance and studio experience, but I don't do music for a living. I have a full time job, am married and have a young child.
Let me know this sounds interesting to you, or if you have any questions.
Thanks!
