Hello there! With a great deal of sadness, our household is needing to re-home our older cat 'Sailor'. Before going further I need to state that we are aware of the dangers of animal adoption on Craigslist, and will be thoroughly ensuring she goes to a loving home who will treat this wonderful kitty right. A little background on Sailor- She is a sweet, talkative girl who loves belly scratches, naps, and chasing toys. She has always lived as an indoor/outdoor cat, and for her happiness will need to remain with that freedom. She is most likely a mixed breed cat, of unknown age (at least 6, no older than 10), and she is a real sweetheart to her trusted humans. She was living in our house years before we moved in (hence unknown age), and was left here by her original owner. We have cared for her well while we've lived here, but are not able to take her to our new place and our landlord is selling the house. As for care- Sailor has a genetic predisposition to getting itchy spots that she will then lick raw without treatment. Our vet has prescribed an ointment that we rub onto her spots as needed. This only comes up 2 to 3 times a year, and the ointment is inexpensive (we will also provide you with the tube we have now). Sailor is also slightly overweight, but is otherwise very healthy and vital. To make sure she goes to a good home we will be asking a small re-homing fee.
