Crash Clogs I-93 In Bow; 1 Taken To Concord Hospital

BOW, NH — Bow EMTs and Concord firefighters were sent to Interstate 93 South in Bow, just past the junction with I-89, for a crash on Saturday. Around 12:15 p.m., capital fire dispatch received a call about the crash — a Chevrolet sedan into a concrete barrier, possibly due to the driver having a seizure. Dispatch warned EMTs there was a dog in the vehicle that was not allowing entry. The patient was also unconscious. According to state police scanner chatter, the troopers could not find the accident at first. But later, they found it, around Mile Marker 35. The first arriving firefighters requested a block by the second unit of the high-speed lane to work the scene. Two lanes were blocked for about 45 minutes while traffic was routed around the crash. Bow firefighters were also re-toned to the crash but later, told to return to headquarters after EMTs said they had control of the situation.
