my cat will not eat need help

my cat does not want to eat food but wants it. Smells it licks a bit but then stops. He licks up some then stops..He is so skinny. Just to not trust taking him in. Only Text me at 530 538 one 0 one 6. He lives in the kitchen but no luck eatting. Thanks 4 U time
