WASHINGTON COUNTY, MN— A total of 139,232 residents— or 68 percent of the county— have received at least their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the latest numbers from the Minnesota Department of Health.
Of those, 118,420 residents — or 59 percent of the county — have received both doses.
In Minnesota overall, 2.8 million people, or about 50 percent of the state, have received at least one dose.
About 2.4 million people, or 43 percent of the state, have received both doses.
Overall, the state has been averaging giving about 32,168 shots per day on average, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.
In all, over 4.4 million vaccines have been shipped to Minnesota providers, and 1.4 million vaccines have been shipped to long-term care facilities for the CDC long-term care vaccination program.
Governor Tim Walz recently lifted the mask mandate, with Minneapolis and Saint Paul deciding to keep it for the time being.
12-15 year olds are also now eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine.
