Small high-end residential gardening company seeks a part-time employee to join the company through the end of November. We are looking for someone who can work with us consistently on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8am-4pm, and then 7am-3pm during the hotter months. More hours may be available as the company grows, but this is not the right fit for someone who desires full time work right away. Education and/or experience in residential garden maintenance is preferred; as always a willingness to learn is the most important. Employees should be interested in working for a company that values high quality work, professionalism, and mutual respect among clients, employees, and the employer. The right candidate will be hard working, not afraid of getting dirty, skilled at observation, efficient at detailed work, good at following instructions, and delighted to expand their gardening knowledge. We work outside in beautiful environments! You will be weeding, deadheading, planting, and pruning. You should be in good physical condition and able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly. You should be able to bend over and work at ground level. You should be able to adjust to working outside in the heat, cold, and everything in between. You should not be a complainer. You will need your own transportation. We work in peoples' home spaces so it’s important that you are friendly, respectful, tidy, attentive to detail, and responsive to client wishes.
