Description

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester-area residents who want a coronavirus vaccine can get a free ride to a clinic from Lyft. The city of Worcester and the Seven Hills Foundation are collaborating to give ride credits to local low-income residents. The rides can be used to get to any coronavirus vaccine clinic, according to the sponsors. There are dozens of COVID-19 vaccine sites in the Worcester area. See a map of all the sites on the state's vaccine website. The Worcester program is part of a Lyft initiative to give out 60 million rides to vaccine clinics. Lyft also has a program, LyftUp, that provides free rides to local grocery stores. That program began last June. If you want a ride to either a vaccine clinic or a grocery store, call the Worcester Family Resource Center at 508-796-1411. Their hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
