hey all, as stated, I'm a local singer/songwriter. (I'm also craigs-postin' on a fairly buzzy edible so feel free to skip the following rambling to the meat and potatoes in the next paragraph) I've always done indie rock stuff, but its a pain in the ass to make and honestly no one was really all that interested~ haha! so I decided to pivot and found myself dabbling in retro synth pop.. and to my surprise I'm pretty decent at it. Then on a lark I decided to write a reggae love song/first dance for my upcoming nuptials and found I'm even better at that! So I've been writing more of these simple reggae/dance/pop tunes. The problem is, a lifetime of ignoring an entire genre means the flood gates are open and I'm cranking out ideas faster than I can do anything with them. And many are simply above my ability to adequately perform them myself. (seriously, if you've never done "the bubble" on keys, well, it takes some getting used to.. to say the least')
so, I'm lookin for helpers. I've got guitars covered. I need synth players. Bass player that can also do synth keys. I need electric drums. Horns. Female backing singers. DJ? I don't know! How did UB40 pull this soft style electro-reggae off?? (next stop.. YouTubes.) Oh, and preferably someone else in the band better at production than I am that can help me record our best possible stuff. ***Most importantly, at least 70% of us must be able to sing. There will be many harmonies.
Anyway, thanks for listening. If you've got chops and you like the style, hit me up. beachmaster.bandcamp.com
(ps. the song I've posted is unmixed. it is still a rough cut and being edited as we speak)
