Description
We have three beautiful little kittens that need homes and are available free. They have been dewormed and we are about to give them their first set of shots. Their mom is FIV+. Only 50% of kittens get the disease from mom, but we won't know that until they are 6 months old and have cleared the maternal antibodies. So we're looking for a home that would be friendly towards potentially FIV+ kittens in the case they turn out to be. While FIV sounds like a bad thing, a study actually showed that FIV cats live just as long healthy lives as FIV- cats. It tends to get an undeserved bad rap just because people associate it with HIV (which it is not). It isn't transmissible to any animals other than cats, and even then, only through a very deep bite wound.
Text or email if you are interested in taking one of these adorable little ones.
