Description

We are a local bird rescue that takes in and helps rehabilitate birds and cover for all their medical expenses. Gina and Ben arrived last year from a hoarding situation. They were admitted to our facility and recovered really well. Gina and Ben have to go together as a pair, they are bonded and enjoy spending time together. They are very well tamed and both enjoy being, Gina is the one that usually tends to take a bit more time to warm up to but Ben is very outgoing. Ben loves singing and knows how to sing lots of different tunes and whistles. They both love spending time outdoors or just hanging out on top of their cages foraging and taking baths. Both have been vet checked and tested. We estimate Ben and Gina are both between 3-5 years old. They've been tested for major diseases and all came back negative. They will come with their certificate and testing results. Gina has an overgrown under beak that was corrected as best as possible and she usually keeps it really short herself due to the angle, this does not prevent her at all from eating, she eats all sorts of fruits and vegetables. No special treatment is needed for her care, most likely caused due poor feeding technique. Ben has an overgrown scissor beak which will need some trimming on occasion which we can provide the service for or your avian vet can. He also has absolutely no issues eating, he is also on a chop diet and pellets. Ben is the white cockatiel and Gina is the Lutino (yellow) each proven. These babies are overall wonderful and super sweet and simply need a second chance to be loved and cared for. They are great when outside of their cage they enjoy being around you but they're also fine when its time to go back in their cage they can be independent and keep each other busy. To discuss more about the or if you have any questions feel free to email us. Adoption fee is required to cover for half of their medical costs and to provide care to other new incomers the same care.
