Dig up grass and haul away

I need the grass removed from my front yard. At least 3 inches down. I started doing some with a shovel you can see in the photo. You can use a shovel and truck or a sod remover however you want to do it. After the grass removed im going to put down fabric and add gravel, there is a possibility id hire for that job too, but first the grass needs gone
