Do you enjoy building things, working with your hands, have some experience with basic power tools (even if its in your garage or with projects around the house), have a clear understanding of using a tape measure, and enjoy learning new things – then we want to talk to you! Craters & Freighters is a custom crating, packaging, and shipping company. We looking for hardworking individuals to work in our warehouse building custom wooden and corrugated cardboard crates and packaging items for shipping. Items can range from delicate high-end artwork and sculptures, to electronics and medical equipment, to large industrial machinery and furniture. In addition to warehouse work, this position may involve crating and packaging items at the customer’s location. You may also help with loading and unloading customer items and/or crates from trucks. Qualifications: • Will have experience using any of the following power tools: Panel saw, Table saw, Chop saw, Band saw, various Hand Saws, Nail Guns, Screwdriver • We will provide training for crate building, packaging, and warehouse procedures • Prior carpentry related experience of any kind is a plus • Must have a clear understanding of using a tape measure • Strong attention to detail and perform high quality work • Desire to learn with the ability to take direction and accept constructive feedback • Must be a team player and able to work in fast paced environment meeting customer deadlines • Must be reliable and punctual • Able to lift and carry wood – can be up to 50 lbs Pay and Benefits: • Pay = $17.00/hr to start (pay increases commensurate with experience and performance) • Paid holidays – eligible after 90 days of employment • 40 hours a year Paid Sick Time – awarded after 90 days of employment • One-week paid vacation – awarded after one year of service • Medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits - eligible first of the month following 30 days of employment – employer pays a portion of the cost • Retirement plan with company match up to 3% – eligible after 90 days of employment • Room for advancement and growth with the company • Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm If interested, please submit your resume.
