About the artists:Simon Jano Sessions is a musical project created by producer/songwriter Simon Jano, based on his experiences with sacred plants and ancestral shamanic teachings. The project consists of several collaborations with other artists as well as solo reinterpretations of ancestral shamanic themes. His music is inspired on the legacy of Andean and Amazonian medicinal music, Native American Lakota songs, Yoruba prayers and other sounds that mark Simon’s path in his exploration of the inner self. One of his latest productions is "Camino de Estrellas", an original song by Maestro Alonso Del Rio, with experimental arrangements that capture the magic of ancestral Andean music. You can hear his influences from artists such as Brian Eno, Vangelis, and other contemporary musicians, while still maintaining an organic vibe. He recently produced the beautiful Brazilian song “Ilumina”, interpreted by Emilia Garth and "Lakota Lullaby", a Native American tune that helps connect with your inner child. Simon Jano began his career in rock, pop and electronic music. He spent more than 10 years as an independent producer of artists, film and TV. As a singer-songwriter, he has two Art Rock albums called "Campo de Fuerza" and "ENVIVO". Great musicians collaborated on such albums such as Tony Levin, (bass player for Peter Gabriel, King Crimson) and Durga McBroom (Pink Floyd’s background vocals and soloist) He is currently focused on producing and interpreting medicine/conscious music, either with his acoustic guitar, or with a small ensemble of acoustic and eclectic instruments.
