Lawn Care & Snow Removal Operations Manager General Services Corporation is a locally owned residential and commercial service company located in Boulder, Colorado. We have been in business since 1985 and are comprised of 5 divisions: snow removal, lawn maintenance, house cleaning, chimney cleaning and trash removal. The variety of services that we offer our customers will ensure year-round employment as we continue to grow and add clients. We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to manage and grow the lawn maintenance division and to be a manager in the snow removal division. This position requires a dependable, hard working person that loves working with their hands and takes pride in their work. We are especially interested in an Operations Manager that has the following skills and experience: • Expected to take initiative and to work independently with little oversight • Ability to anticipate what is needed to be done and follows through • Mechanical skills: general truck and plow maintenance and caring for lawn equipment • Ability to work overnight, every time it snows • Willingness to work long hours when it snows • Outstanding work ethic, integrity, and positive attitude • Emphasis on safety, job-specific training, and professional skill development • Clear internal communications with owners and other staff • Presentable appearance and communication skills • Ability to work in a team environment • Valid driver’s license • Possess creativity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn It would be helpful but not necessary to have expertise in the following: • Technical knowledge of landscaping and irrigation o Mowing, trimming, edging and weeding. o Irrigation-sprinkler turn on and off, installation and maintenance. o Mulch and rock-installation and maintenance. o Seasonal color-flower beds and planters. o Aeration. o Fertilization and weed control - organic. o Tree and shrub care. • Ability to communicate in Spanish. Experience is not nearly as important as the potential to learn and manage. We may choose to send you to school at our expense if you currently do not possess the knowledge to manage the lawn maintenance division.
