Job Title: Entry Level Service Technician for Fitness Equipment Job Category: Service, Maintenance & Repair Employee Location: Pompano Beach, FL Travel Required: yes Compensation: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour Type: Part-Time, Full Time, Subcontract Job *Applicants with experience in the following fields will make a smooth transition into this position and are encouraged to apply; Industrial maintenance, HVAC on-site service tech, Electrician/Journeyman-service call based PLC training a plus, Telecommunication specializing in communication & hook-up, hardware based computer experience. Applicants with mechanical aptitude encouraged to apply. Basic hand tools are required.(Must be willing and able to drive 26ft box truck) have a clean valid drivers license ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform installation, repair and preventive maintenance work on residential & commercial fitness equipment. Perform service in a timely manner Perform service, diagnose and repair fitness equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, climbers, recumbent bikes, single/multi-stack weight systems, etc. Update work order statuses and complete work orders according to company procedures. Communicate with Service Coordinator, Operations Manager and/or Administrator to facilitate accurate & timely completion of work orders. Maintain a technical proficiency level with old and new equipment through manufacturer training, reading manuals, networking with other service technicians and online training videos. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 1 YEAR OF INDUSTRY RELATED EXPERIENCE ABILITY TO BE SELF-MOTIVATED & WORK WITH MINIMAL SUPERVISION ABILITY TO READ EXPLODED & PARTS DIAGRAMS AND DIAGNOSE TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT ISSUES EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS REMAIN PROFESSIONAL IN DRESS AND INTERACTION AT ALL TIMES ABILITY TO MULTI-TASK PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS DETAIL ORIENTED BE A TEAM PLAYER WORKING CONDITION: Bending, heavy lifting, squatting, standing, repetitive movements and kneeling is necessary to deliver, install, service and repair fitness equipment in all types of residential and gym environments. Employee begins on a ninety (90) day probationary period. Once the probationary period ends you will receive an evaluation to determine next level of compensation. As some locations of service include schools, state institutions, government facilities, residential homes, etc. Background checks are required for all applicants.
