Walking Tour exploring the history of Tidal Mills and Water Power in Boston To fuel mills for producing flour, fabric, lumber and even chocolate, innovators in colonial Boston turned to the power of the tides. This walking tour by The West End Museum's President, Duane Lucia, will discusses Boston's first industrialized power source - Tidal Mills. The tour will take walkers to the sites of mills and tidal power structures around the West End (primarily in the area of the Bulfinch Triangle) as well as locations and structures related to the first efforts to dam the Charles River.
