AGUILAS El Ambiente Program brings to the community our annual retreat with engaging workshops for our Latinx members. Hello/Hola/Oi AGUILAS members! We’re excited to announce our first post-COVID, in-person event and can’t wait to see you there. The FREE AGUILAS Retreat 2021 will be hosted at the San Francisco LGBT Center over two consecutive Saturdays: June 5th and June 12th. Our team has created a fun, culturally relevant event for members to live their best lives and celebrate Pride Month together at last. Please note: to ensure the safety of everyone, we ask that you please bring your completed COVID-19 vaccination card or a negative result from a test taken within the previous 72 hours. AGUILAS Retreat 2021 features a Main Workshop followed by two Small Workshops from which participants get to pick: The Main Workshop, “Drag Lab,” teaches you how to dress for drag success. Small Workshop 1, “Express Yourself Through Art,” connects you with Latinx artists, Simon Malvaez & Juan Manuel Carmona, for an immersive experience of expression through art. Small Workshop 2, “Brazilian Dance Workout,” gets your heart pumping with dancers Leonardo Guida and Leandro Morais for some 1:1 Brazilian funk street dance lessons. Beginners are encouraged to join in the fun as you’ll be guided through every step. with any body type who have any level of dance experience.
