Yard Worker/Forklift Operator Full Time/ Part Time (Oakland) compensation: UP TO $18.00 DOE employment type: employee's choice Local Recycling Processing facility is looking for a hardworking, responsible, full time/part time Yard Worker/Forklift Operator to join our team! LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, and effective keeping of yard inventory. Keep a clean and orderly area of the yard, shop and warehouse area Ensure all tools, materials and equipment are securely put away every night Load and unload materials to and from designated storage area/s Follows company safety policies and procedures Performs other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL ABILITIES: Superb Attendance/Punctuality Operate basic tools and power tools Ability to work in a team environment High attention to detail required Ability to take ownership of projects Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize work, establish priorities, follow defined procedures, and follow through with the completion of tasks to meet established deadlines Excellent communication skills Demonstrated ability to deal with stressful situations in a calm, organized and effective manner Highly Dependable PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling. May be required to lift up to 50-100 lbs. Hand dexterity and strength. EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/FORMAL TRAINING: High School diploma or GED preferred Fork Lift Certification – (willing to train/certify) FULL TIME HOURS/SHIFT: DAY: 40 Hours/Week Monday - Friday (Occasional Saturdays - due to business needs) 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Night: 32-40 Hours/Week Monday - Friday (Occasional Saturdays - due to business needs) 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: •Must be eighteen years of age •Must pass pre-employment physical ability test •Must have the ability to legally work in the US and have previous references.
