WAUKESHA, WI—Hi! My name is Karen Pilarski. First off, I'm not new, I've been at Patch for close to a year. Previously my beat included Waukesha, New Berlin, Brookfield, and Wauwatosa. I'm now devoted to covering all things Waukesha, which means sharing more of the stories that matter to you. Before starting at Patch, I was a news producer for WISN 12, a journalist at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and the Waukesha Freeman Newspaper. Waukesha is not unfamiliar to me as I also call it home. I love taking my dog Sundae for walks downtown and sipping a lavender chai from the Steaming Cup.
