Disappointed you can't perform your favorite monologue in front of an audience? Arlington's Got Talent has your back. In addition to a new and improved in-person all-you-can-eat-ice cream event (pending town approval), the Arlington High School Scoops Club is announcing the return of Arlington's Got Talent, the live, townwide, virtual, talent show fund-raiser. Your submissions will be compiled together with others and presented over the course of two Talent Show live-streams on Friday, June 11, and Saturday, June 12, both at 6 p.m. Any person or group of any age is invited to perform a talent of their choosing, including but not limited to: singing, dancing, magic, performing a dramatic monologue, improv sketch or anything else that you'd like to show off to the community. VIDEO REQUIREMENTS: Introduce and describe yourself briefly; Describe your talent/performance; Keep your video under 5 minutes long; and Shoot your video horizontally. During these live-streams, the club will be accepting online donations, with all proceeds going toward the Jimmy Fund and supporting leaders at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult cancer patients and their families. All donors will be entered into an opportunity drawing to win multiple prizes throughout the night, though no purchase is necessary. The club encourages all -- whether it be organizing, donating or participating- - to tune in and support this united community event and to celebrate Arlington creativity and diversity, no matter how separated we are.
