STRATFORD, CT — Stratford Mayor Laura R. Hoydick announced Friday changes to requirements on social distancing and masking in Town Hall and other town buildings.
In accordance with CDC guidelines and executive orders from Gov. Ned Lamont, restrictions on social distancing and masking are relaxed for employees and for visitors to Town buildings, according to Hoydick.
Individuals who have been fully vaccinated for at least two weeks will no longer be required to wear masks indoors or to maintain 6-foot distance from others. Those who are not vaccinated, or have not yet been fully vaccinated for two weeks will continue to be required to wear masks and to maintain at least 6 feet of distance from others.
The change is effective on Monday, May 24.
"It is great news that those who are vaccinated can return to some level of normality in accordance with orders from the Governor and CDC guidance," Hoydick said in a statement. "Those who are in the process of being fully vaccinated, or those who do not intend to be vaccinated will need to continue observing masking and distancing guidelines."
Hoydick noted that the Human Resources Department is maintaining records of employees who are fully vaccinated to ensure compliance with the new guidance.
