Press release from the East Islip Community Chamber Of Commerce: May 21, 2021 Dear Constituents, Neighbors and Friends, Dear Friend, I am pleased to announce my "Shed the Meds" Drop-Off event on Monday, May 24, 2021, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Islandia Village Hall! The purpose is to give you an opportunity to drop off any expired prescription medications. We are partnering with Suffolk County Sheriff, Errol Toulon, whose officers will be present to dispose of these medications in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.There will also be an opportunity to obtain an "In Case of Emergency" special ID card, designed to provide first responders and health professionals with important information, should it be needed.
