Reef Point Janitorial – Key West, Florida Veteran Owned Business Reefpointjanitorial.com Cleaning Technician / Cleaning Specialist / Custodian / Janitor position with the opportunity to advance to Team Lead. $15.00 - $17.75 Willing to train motivated and responsible team players. Compensation based on experience. Part-time with 20 hours per week guaranteed. Operations between the hours of 11:30 pm to 5:00 am weekdays and 11:30 pm to 6:30 am weekends. $0.50 Three-Day Weekend Differential paid on top of hourly wage (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). ATTENDANCE BONUS: $0.25 paid on top of all hourly wages with perfect attendance (no late arrivals or call-outs and all shifts completed) per week. Paid Weekly! Employee Referral Program. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: • Ability to follow instructions and read signs. • Basic knowledge of common cleaning solvents, cleaning tools, and equipment. • Must know/learn the proper uses of a variety of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions. • Must be able to remove different kinds of stains from a wide variety of surfaces. • Must be able to troubleshoot, make adjustments, and maintain equipment after training. • Must be able to work independently. PHYSICAL EFFORTS: Requires standing and walking on hard and carpeted surfaces with bending, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of items. Must be able to lift 40+ pounds repeatedly. For example, this position moves heavy rubber floor mats repeatedly. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is usually performed indoors in areas that have adequate heat, light, and ventilation. Exposure to dirt, disagreeable odors, and strong cleaning solutions. Care is required to avoid serious injury when working on ladders to clean hard to reach places and when moving furniture or using power equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Clean dining and/or drinking establishments, including corridors, stairways, restrooms, and adjacent areas. • Scrub, vacuum, and shampoo floors/rugs. • Perform industrial cleaning of kitchen appliances, such as hoods, and fryers (Special Assignments Only). • Use proper cleaning equipment, materials, liquid solutions, and waxes; change brushes, buffers and/or accessories on equipment as necessary. • Clean, disinfect, and deodorize lavatories, urinal and toilet bowls, clean fixtures, mirrors and water fountains. • Move heavy furniture, supplies, and equipment in order to complete a cleaning task. • Remove trash and perform other miscellaneous related duties for interior areas. • Maintain an inventory of supplies used and request reorder when needed. • Maintain data sheets for all chemicals used for cleaning purposes. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: • Must be authorized to work in the United States • Must be fluent in English. Bilingual a plus! • Must have reliable transportation. • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification check for relevant experience. • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays. • Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background check.
