LAKEWOOD, CO — A man has been charged with vehicular homicide after a crash Sunday that left renowned cyclist Gwen Inglis dead, the Jefferson County district attorney's office announced Friday. Ryan Scott Montoya, 29, has been charged with multiple counts, including vehicular homicide - reckless driving, driving under the influence - second alcohol related offense, infliction of serious bodily injury to a vulnerable road user, careless driving, improper changing of lanes and passing on the left improperly, the office said. Inglis was riding with her husband in a bike lane around 10 a.m. near Alameda Parkway and Indiana Street, when Montoya nearly struck her husband, witnesses said.
