CHICAGO RIDGE, IL — UPDATE. The situation near 105th Street and Central Avenue on the Chicago Ridge-Oak Lawn border has been resolved. The area has been given the all clear. All clear on Central Avenue, please resume normal activities, Thank You— Oak Lawn Police Dept (@OakLawnPD) May 21, 2021Earlier Friday afternoon, a man was said to be barricaded in a Chicago Ridge apartment Friday afternoon, and is threatening to take his own life. Richards High School has been placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure. Oak Lawn police also sent out a tweet and have asked people to avoid the area near 105th Street and Central Avenue. Richards High School is also holding graduation exercises on Friday. Large police presence 105/Central Ave with OLPD and CRPD.
