Description

Press release from the Glenview Chamber of Commerce: May 21, 2021 The NSCMF is a favorite of the Chicago summer classical music scene with inspiring concerts by world-renowned artists. This year's event is June 9-11 from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Village Church of Northbrook (1300 Shermer Road). All concerts are presented free of charge this year to celebrate NSCMF's 10th Anniversary. In-person seating is limited and must be reserved in advance by emailing [email protected]. All concerts will simultaneously stream live on nscmf.org and then remain available for on-demand viewing until July 1, 2021. Heralded as an "inspired summer event not to be missed" (Chicago Classical Review), NSCMF opens up the 2021 summer festival season with exquisite chamber music concerts directed by renowned violinist Vadim Gluzman and concert pianist Angela Yoffe, mixing old and new, the well and little known – there is always something fresh and something familiar. The Festival has become a magnet for today's leading classical artists who travel to Northbrook for the opportunity to perform with each other and to work closely with emerging young artists from Chicago and beyond. Featured this year are seven recipients of NSCMF's Arkady Fomin Scholarship Fund: violinists Joshua Brown, Masha Lakisova, Jacqueline Audas, and Julian Rhee; cellist Katherine Audas; pianist Janice Carissa; and bassoonist Marlène Ngalissamy, who will perform together with festival artists.
