Description
Press release from South Washington County Schools:
May 20, 2021
On May 15, Next Step Pathways students participated in the annual Valley Creek Mall craft fair.
The majority of students in Next Step contributed to the craft fair in a variety of ways including creating crafts, making signs, growing plants to sell, pricing products, organizing items and providing customer service. There were eight students that workedon-site at the craft fair throughout two shifts.
This is the second time the Next Step Program has been involved in the craft fair and offered even more items than they have previously. They are excited to continue that growth through their business enterprise class where students learn about the different facets of a company and employment.
The Next Step Program provides young adult students, with an individualized education plan, the opportunity to develop real-world skills and independence.
