Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 05/21/2021 211410731 Preliminary Information: On 5/21/21, around 10:32 am, officers responded to Arden Ave. and Sylvan Rd. in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim who sustained a gunshot wound. He was alert, conscious and breathing and transported to the hospital for treatment. Preliminary investigation indicates the victim and his brother were walking from the Marta train station when they were approached a by a male suspect. After a brief exchange of words between the victim and suspect, the suspect revealed a firearm, shot the victim then fled the scene. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
