Janitors for local (Anchorage) and remote (Slope) positions. 40-84 hours/week Responsibilities Cleans lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways. Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies. Dusts furniture. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills. Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays, transports trash and waste to disposal area. Replenishes bathroom supplies. Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies. Examines rooms, halls, and lobbies to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and makes recommendations to maintenance. Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks. Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers. Cleans out garbage cans. Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas. Loads or unloads trucks picking up or delivering supplies and food.
