Is this what you think you're looking for in a drummer? • I have the most outrageous, super-tornado, top-flight gear • My chops are in the most extreme shape they've been in years • I can handle millions of patterns and time signature fluctuations • I kick butt back there • I've got screaming wheels for transportation • I want to rule the drumming world • I can handle any genre - any time, any place, better than anybody • My drummer heroes have been to the moon and back • I need to play 24/7 • I'm technical, yet poetic Or, are you more interested in this because it just might make more sense? I welcome the opportunity to contribute to the meaning, style of music (feel-good-out-on-the-dance-floor songs from the 60's through the present that are in the genres of classic rock, blues, R&B, some funk, some country, and some hip-hop), and direction of what your band is attempting to accomplish. I will pay attention to what there is right in front of me, always humbling myself to the overall desires of the collective effort. I will show up to practice on time, ready to go, and never try to upstage anyone. I will play for the true value of the song. I will hold back when necessary. I will push and punch when appropriate. It would be great to find a project that plays out a few times a month on a regular basis. I am motivated to do what it takes to make it work. I am only interested in a band looking for a drummer and not in just jamming or starting a band.
