Start making a difference and join our team by applying for the position of Clean Ambassador. DESCRIPTION: So, what is an “Ambassador,” and how do they make a difference? Well, our “Ambassadors” complete tasks that make the area clean and friendly, including litter collection and removal, graffiti reporting and removal, weed abatement, pressure washing, minor landscaping, and interacting with pedestrians by providing directions, making recommendations, or providing other assistance. They also manage the environment by interacting with individuals violating “quality of life” local ordinances. Clean Ambassadors also assist those in need and report behavior and incidents that adversely affect the downtown environment. DUTIES: Tasks that are structured to keep the District clean, safe, and friendly. Clean Team Ambassador duties include, but not limited, to the following: Pan and Broom - pick up loose litter on the sidewalks, storefronts, and curb lines using a pan and broom. Dispose of collected trash in dumpsters. Graffiti Reporting and Removal - identify and remove graffiti, including handbills, stickers, and other forms of graffiti. Weed Abatement - remove weeds and other growth from sidewalks, tree grates, and along fences. Detailed Cleaning - using equipment and disinfectants, complete thorough cleaning of all "touchpoints" in the District, to include door handles, crosswalk buttons, railings, benches, street fixtures, transit shelters, and other surfaces touched by pedestrians. Mechanical Equipment - operate mechanical equipment, such as battery sidewalk sweepers and scrubbers. Hospitality - identify and provide assistance and information, such as directions, to pedestrians in the District. Reporting and Documentation - using a mobile device, receiving and processing electronic work orders and entering daily stats; complete checklists and other forms related to operations; and maintaining communication with the Dispatch Center and Supervisors.
