Well established natural stone and solid surface manufacturing company is looking for a mechanic and operator specialized on large machinery and mechanical equipment to join our growing team. The successful candidate will report to the Facility’s Manager, providing skilled mechanic type functions, ensuring proper and efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Applicants must have experience of same or related industry and MUST speak English. MUST APPLY IN PERSON AT: American Marble 1280 N. Melrose Drive, Vista, CA 92083 Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Essential Duties: • Performs diagnostic, replacement and repairs for ALL machinery, including but not limited to Fusion Waterjet, Flow Waterjet, GMM CNC Sawcut. • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements. • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, machinery. • Operate machinery and equipment. • Maintain equipment, parts and supply inventories. • Perform company-wide inspections of machinery as required. • Maintain service logs in compliance with procedures, rules and regulations. • Performs other facility’s maintenance duties as instructed. Qualifications: • Must be able to read and follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturing instructions, and engineering specifications. • Mechanical aptitude. • Able to follow verbal and written instructions. • Able to independently evaluate current conditions against standard and perform tasks necessary to bring areas to standard. • Able to read and write English. • Valid driver license. Requirements: • Two (2) years of experience in large machinery mechanical/maintenance crafts (including machinist or facility maintenance/construction) or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance. • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English. • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards. • Ability to effectively communicate and work closely with other maintenance team members. ABOUT THESE POSITIONS: • Full-time, non-exempt, direct hire. • Monday through Friday. Shift START time varies usually between 5:00 am and 6:30 am and shift END time depends upon completion of the scheduled jobs.
