This year the MSU Seed Potato Lab is seeking to fill up to 20 summer positions in our Lab and Field Crew that runs between June 15th – August 18th. No Experience Necessary! Field Crews – begins @ $14.00/hour + Overtime & Travel The Field Crew members are responsible for collecting leaf samples across Montana. Field Crew members meet at MSU in the morning and are provided transportation to seed potato farms across the state. All travel time and breaks are paid! This means Field Crew members average about 12 hours per day, 60 hours per week. Overtime is paid over 40 hours per week. In addition, travel per diem is paid. Lab Crew - $12.50/hour The lab crew processes the leaf samples that collected by the field crew in a specified procedure. The lab uses Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) testing to detect specific viruses that affect seed potatoes. A workday consists of 8 hours. The pay rate is $12.50 an hour. Staff members need to be responsible, careful, and accurate when performing the assigned work.
