Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary is currently seeking a highly motivated Field Crew Associate to join the Hillside team in Los Angeles, California. Responsibilities include but are not limited to set-up and closing of graves and mausoleum wall sites. Assisting visitors in the park with the trimming and cleaning of memorial markers along with memorial marker installation. Assisting rabbis and funeral directors during funeral services. Additional responsibilities include washing down sidewalks and wall mausoleums, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning of flower stations and picking up debris from various areas of the park, property maintenance, landscaping maintenance, grounds work and assisting with other maintenance tasks when needed. Other duties may include picking up parts and materials as needed from outside vendors and interacting with families and visitors of Hillside. ââ¬Â¢ Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate with empathy and sincerity ââ¬Â¢ Backhoe and tractor operation experience preferred but not required ââ¬Â¢ Experience with hand-held power tools, light equipment and two-way radios preferred ââ¬Â¢ A minimum of one year relevant experience preferred ââ¬Â¢ Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean DMV record ââ¬Â¢ Strong ability to exercise sound judgment ââ¬Â¢ Ability to work independently as well as part of a team ââ¬Â¢ Strong problem-solving skills ââ¬Â¢ Strong accuracy and attention to detail ââ¬Â¢ Positive, professional attitude and demeanor ââ¬Â¢ Must pass a basic physical and drug test post offer ââ¬Â¢ Must pass a lifting test of 100 lbs. and be able to lift, push and pull 100 lbs. ââ¬Â¢ Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time and access all areas of the park ââ¬Â¢ Must be able to stoop, bend and stand on scaffolding or climb ladders up to 25 feet Above all, we are looking for someone who is able to address the needs of the families we serve in a compassionate and empathetic manner; while remaining consistent to our high standards and core values. This position must be able to work Sundays with a rotating schedule and be able to work outside in all types of weather.
