Description

Hello! I am 30 years old nonbinary musician in the Ann Arbor area. Before covid I was in a handful of bands farther east in the Metro area, I don't mind commuting once a week, maybe twice. My best two instruments are bass guitar and ukulele, but I have limited experience and skill with drums/percussion, keys, vocals, trumpet, guitar. I also love singing harmonies. Influence wise, I'm a huge fan of classic jazz. The likes of Coltrane/Davis are my idols. Most of the licks I know on bass I ripped from funk/jazz fusion albums like Herbie Hancock's headhunters. Blues scale/pentatonic smooth licks that fit over pretty much anything. I consider myself fairly well versed in music theory, having studied jazz in the past. I have experience playing harder rock, country, folk, bluegrass, cover bands, I know every single beatles song on multiple instruments. I have lots of studio recording experience as well. In the past I have played professionally and for fun, I like the idea of both. Right now the most important thing to me is creative expression. Gigs, and especially paying gigs are amazing, but second to me right now. I want to focus on creating a great product first and foremost. Looking to get myself out of the apartment and back into the world of music after a rough year. I am fully vaccinated. If this sounds like something you'd like to work with then shoot me a reply! Cheers
