Description

Mr. Plastic is looking for a full time warehouse and shop worker. We sell mostly sheet goods and the work revolves around the warehousing, logistics and fabrication of plastic and aluminum. Everyday is the same and everyday is very different. We care about what we do, we work together, we work hard and sometimes we crawl out of the building at the end of the day. * We are driven by the sense of accomplishment from making a good looking package or pallet, making a pile of parts, polishing a panel to perfection or leaving a neat and straight warehouse behind. We do really cool things with tools and materials, our customers bring in an endless supply of amazing projects. There may be occasional deliveries involved so let us know if there are skeletons in your closet about driving, it’s not a deal breaker, but having more people who can drive is better than having fewer. If you have experience in a shop environment, or working with tools in general then it’s fairly easy to adjust to plastics. We have taken mechanics, cabinet makers and welders and taught them the joys and miseries of working with plastics. The pay increases as your skill and productivity does. Although this is a family business not a giant corporation, we have a full set of benefits that include Health, Dental, Life, Vision, Disability, etc., we grow constantly and promote heavily from within. We offer careers, not dead-end jobs. Working in the warehouse or driving a delivery truck is how most people start at our company. Some of our facility managers worked their way up from there. The faster you can gather the skills and product knowledge, the faster we can all perform at our peak. Whatever of the following you already know will help your starting pay, which adjusts as you gain more skills. This is moving material and cutting material and light fabrication. This is taking care of the shop and the customers and doing whatever we have to do to get it done. YOU: The following is non-negotiable, you and we will be miserable and it won’t last long if this doesn’t describe you. Enjoy challenges, hard work, and constant change. Can consistently meet the commitment of showing up to work ready to go. Can learn from mistakes, to where we only make each once. Can survive to work with us as described above. Requirements: Have a solid background in safe operation of a variety of specialized power tools Experience with heavy machinery; table saws, drill presses and routers and knows the safety procedures involved with them. Have a good understanding of basic math You will need to figure out yields and how to maximize material. A quick learner and a team player. Learning the difference in material quickly and working with others around the shop on different projects. You will be moving materials around the shop by hand and by pallets. Driver Requirements: Must have a working cell phone and reliable transportation to and from work. During deliveries, the driver has to represent the company in a professional manner at all times. We deliver mostly sheet goods to customer in a 3-hour radius of Little Rock. Driver should be able to lift and carry 75 pounds without assistance. Hours are 8-5 Mon-Fri Paid Holidays
