Hey - I am getting pretty sick of playing with cover bands trying to do songs the way they were originally recorded. Are you interested in creating something a little different? How open are you musically and are you ready to take a chance? I have been reluctant to reach out via Craigslist since you never know who is going to respond so please see the following to see if this might be something you would like to pursue. I have a bunch of songs that are either finished or started. Also a bunch of words without music and music without words. Influences are way too many to list here, but I truly like all genres as long as the song has a soul to it. I am from Chicago, so early impact from Blues and Soul is the root for me. Jam Bands, Funk, Alt Country and Roots based music is also important. Not as into Metal, Prog Rock, Rap or Hip Hop, though I have many songs in those genres that I enjoy. Only thing I run from is Broadway :) I don't mind doing a few covers if they are changed around to make them sound more original. I have been a lead vocalist but don't mind giving that up or sharing. Main instrument is the keys, but I can keep up with most players on Rhythm Guitar and Bass. I also have a small music room (Drum set/PA/Bass Amps/mood lighting) that can accommodate apx 5players. I don't care what age you are or if you are male/female/other. I am pretty laid back but definitely want to work at creating something cool. Not interested in judging or being judged.
