Driver – Construction Material & Warehouse Shake Guys is Chicagoland's cedar shake roof restoration leader! The restoration services we offer include cedar shake replacement, repairs and preservation treatments with a large focus on synthetic/composite shake & slate roofing systems. Other exterior service trades we provide are custom copper, gutters, minor siding and minor carpentry. At Shake Guys, we pride ourselves in having an excellent reputation for customer service. Our custom cedar and composite shake restoration company is seeking a full-time Material Driver, who will be driving a company pickup to assist and transport miscellaneous roofing materials to job sights from our warehouse and from local roofing suppliers. In addition, this driver will be required to perform some heavy lifting and keeping an inventory of all material delivered to each job site. Some inventory and warehousing knowledge of materials will be required. The Material Driver will be in direct communication with the job site project managers to coordinate the safe delivery of miscellaneous roofing materials and accessories. INCOME - Earn $15 to $18 an Hour - depending on experience and proficiency! • Year-round work with weekly pay • 401k matching plan • Company medical plan • Company truck for deliveries • Company phone POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Follow company policies, procedures, management direction and fleet and safety policies • Ensure miscellaneous roofing materials are delivered on time and in excellent condition • Drive delivery vehicle to transport sites, load the vehicle and unload roofing accessories • Pick up accessories from nearby roofing suppliers and transport materials to job site • Maintain a safe driving & working environment, including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) • Maintain and turn in all material receipts to office manager • Follow proper safety and accident procedures • Properly maintain vehicle(s) and takes the necessary steps to report vehicle maintenance issues • Ensure that assigned company vehicle is kept clean and presentable • Assist with warehouse inventory of roofing components • Ability to work with minimal supervision & have good organizational & problem-solving skills POSITION REQUIREMENTS • Valid driver’s license & good driving record • High School Diploma or equivalent • Excellent communication and decision-making skills • Ability to lift, load, and deliver roofing products • Ability to work a flexible schedule, 40 hours a week, some overtime and Saturdays during peak season • Drivers – 21 years or older Job Type: Full-time - $15 to $18 an Hour To learn more, visit us at www.shakeguys.com.
