We specialize in the repair and service of gas and diesel commercial trucks, trailers and equipment. The Facilities Maintenance Technician maintains our building and grounds and assists the shop with various duties. We have one position open for a Facilities Maintenance Technician. Prior facilities experience preferred. Successful candidate must be a self-starter and able to work well with the service team. Must have a positive attitude. *Requirements* • NYS driver’s license • Prior maintenance experience preferred • Ability to lift 50 lbs. • Ability to climb a ladder • Ability to work in high noise environment • Must be organized and detail orientated • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Good communication skills • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry • Must be a team player • Good manual dexterity and problem solving skills • High school diploma or equivalency *Responsibilities * The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building and grounds maintenance tasks. You will perform exterior maintenance duties such as lawn mowing, trimming, and snow removal. You will perform interior duties such as cleaning and trash removal. You will also assist with various shop duties such as parts running, cleaning and moving vehicles. · Maintains building grounds; mows and trims lawn, trims bushes. · Responsible for snow removal; including driveways, parking lot and yard. Clears snow from entrances and walkways. · Sweeps and cleans shop floor. · Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors and sills. · Performs touch up and finish painting. · Empties wastebaskets. · Cleans restrooms and replenishes supplies. · Replaces light bulbs and furnace filters as needed. · Performs minor repairs and maintenance of building equipment. · Picks up and delivers parts and vehicles, and shuttles drivers. · Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures. · Maintains a regular maintenance schedule. Must be well organized and have a history of good performance, attendance, safety and teamwork. Must be well rounded, thorough, reliable, self-motivated and honest. *Benefits* Wages are competitive and based upon experience.
