Full Time Permanent Year Round Farm Assistant – Koos Seed Co. We are 3000 acre family farm in the Willamette Valley that takes pride in producing quality seed products. We grow a diversified assortment of seed crops that require year-round attention. We also operate a seed warehouse that stores, cleans, bags and ships cleaned seed. Job Description - This position will include driving and servicing a variety of farm equipment including combines, windrowers, tractors, choppers, trucks and ATVs. We will be considering best applicant for hire with maintenance and mechanical experience however basic experience is needed. Maintaining variety of farm equipment, tools and supplies. Assist with various projects and work related errands when needed. Assist in installing, running and repairing agricultural irrigation. Typical physical demands for farm labor, such as walking, standing, reaching, stooping, squatting. Flexibility to work at warehouse location pending farm need. Minimum Qualifications: - 2 years min farm of equivalent experience - Basic vehicle/farm maintenance experience - Follow directions and safety protocol - Work independently and with a team - Valid drivers license, reliable transportation and drive manual transmission - Ability to work extended hours during harvest season Preferred Qualifications (not required to apply): - 2 years plus of mechanic experience - Seed farming experience - FAB Skills/welding experience - Safety experience Compensation: - $16-$18 based on experience - Health - Dental - Vacation Pay Please email for questions and to apply.
